I’m considering buying one, and don’t know much about the specs of TV so i’m trying to get some advice!

3d tv will be sink hard and fast the first year, imo. but either one of the top tier manufacturers would be fine, sony, panasonic, samsung, etc. regular tv broadcasts in 3d? no thanks, i don’t even like them in the theater.

They are going to be at a premium price when they finally hit the shelves as all new products just released always are.
BTW don’t forget you are also going to have to get a 3D Bluray player. Well you do if you want to watch real 3D video instead of simulated 3D.
Yes the TV’s will be able to produce simulated 3D from 2D it is actually very easy to do. Edimensional have been selling 3D glasses for gaming for years, which turns your 2D game into 3D. You just show two 2D images displaced on the screen to get the simulated 3D effect.
