Innovative Virtual Worlds Press Conference To Be Held at X3Daemon.com on December 27, 2007

North Miami Beach, FL

3DNPVEI, LLC will demonstrate an alpha version of its X3Daemon 3D Web networking technology during its first virtual worlds press conference hosted on the system. This unparalleled technology signals a 3D paradigm shift from proprietary game platforms to browser-based business and social networking using ISO-Approved Open Standards and secure encryption.

In collaboration with software partner Bitmanagement Software GmbH of Germany, 3DNPVEI intends to market a scalable multi-user 3D business and social networking infrastructure. Industry players have expressed interest in the evolution of Web3D technologies as an alternative to expensive complex modeling available today. 3DNPVEI intends to answer those calls by delivering technological solutions.

Similar platforms can require users to download and install software needing 400MB of disk space. The free browser plugin provided by 3DNPVEI and Bitmanagement is approximately 4MB and installs in minutes. Client components currently run on the popular Windows platform while the server side is Linux/Unix based. Mac OS X and Linux client platforms may be supported in future releases. A public beta is expected mid-year 2008.

A rich set of features currently not available on other systems, such as the ability to display in-world Flash movies or advertisements and advanced avatar gesture control, are slated for demonstration during the press conference. A limited number of press passes are available for this English language conference. Please contact media@3dnpvei.com for details.

Plazamedia and Vizrt Show Germany’s First Real-time 3D Stereoscopic HD Virtual Studio

Bergen, Norway (Vocus) January 14, 2010

Plazamedia is not an average production house. With a long list of first-class outdoor, studio, and sports productions created for customers around the world, the Munich-based company is also well known for using its Open Houses as sneak previews for the most exciting developments in the industry.

“We knew that Plazamedia planned to demonstrate its new real-time HD virtual studio. So we thought, why not take it one step further and create all the scenes in 3D?,” explained Gerhard Lang, Chief Engineering Officer, Vizrt (Oslo Main List: VIZ).

The result of the cooperation allowed Plazamedia to promote not only the company’s new HD virtual studio and HD master control room, but also Germany’s first 3D HD virtual studio, powered by Vizrt technology. The Open House early last month was the public premiere for the new setup.

Instead of seing the usual flat TV picture, Vizrt’s real-time renderers created stereoscopic images that were used to create an illusion of depth. Using special 3D glasses, the guests could see moving 3D content on a typical TV screen. The installation was done without the special stereo cameras normally needed for 3D demonstrations. Vizrt’s stereoscopic rendering ensured that the on-camera talent remained properly situated within the 3D scene.

Plazamedia’s HD virtual studio is based on two Vizrt products: Viz Virtual Studio and the Viz Engine real-time renderering engine. Both system are capable of creating real-time graphics both in SD as well as HD. In addition, Plazamedia worked closely with other leading virtual studio vendors—including Thoma, Technocrane, and Infitec.

“We pride ourselves on having possibly the most innovative virtual studio capability, which is why we added our new HD virtual studio,” said Florian Nowosad, CEO of PLAZAMEDIA GmbH. “But our Open House was an opportunity to show our customers that 3D HD virtual studio capability has arrived, and it’s now the cutting edge of realtime TV graphics effects. We’re the first in Germany with a HD virtual studio, and we’ve set the bar even higher by showing stereo 3D HD virtual studio production—both of which are exciting new ways of keeping TV viewers engaged.”

Virtual 3D Library Will Turn Web Search Into an Exciting Journey

3D Library

(PRWEB) August 3, 2010

What will the future web look like? Probably every web user has asked themselves this question at least once. Now we can already say with certainty that the Internet is entering a new era, the 3D technology era. Until recently, 3D technology was mostly associated with games and entertainment. However, now the time has come to show that the scope of this technology is much broader. Developers from La Glanz Studio volunteered to be the stereotype busters and, on June 20, 2010 launched a virtual web directory to prove that it is possible to transfer common 2D internet services into the three dimensional environment.

The directory is a 3D library with 14 halls, where each hall is intended for a separate site category: Business, Computers, Games, etc. The user moves through the virtual library to search for the information in the same way that a person does in real life. The only difference is that instead of books the library is filled with cells containing graphical banners with links. By clicking the banner, a user is transferred to the web site. In addition, each hall contains an exhibition room for 3D interactive presentations, thus opening up new horizons for advertising new products online. It is also worth mentioning that, with a good internet connection, the library is loaded in a few seconds, even in spite of the modern realistic graphics, which turn the library search into an exciting journey through virtual space.

The idea of a 3D web is not a new one; it has been in the air almost from the moment the internet was created. Several dozen movies have been made and a huge number of articles have been written on the subject. So, this option of web evolution probably was the easiest to predict. “We believe in 3D Internet! We believe that the era of flat boring 2D web pages is coming to an end. We believe it so badly that we created the 3D Library to prove that it is possible to transfer common 2D internet services into the three dimensional world. We hope that our project will be the first step in adding a third dimension to the internet and in future we will see more and more websites using 3D technology”, said Vasily Statsenko, the founder of La Glanz Studio.
