Interactive World Cup Content Scores Prizes for Comet?s Customers
(PRWEB) April 30, 2010
World Cup “Goal Celebrations” launched on the 29th April, 2010 and competitors are being encouraged to upload videos of their most enthusiastic goal celebrations at http://www.comet.co.uk/goal.
From the 16th June, 2010 the public will then be given the chance to vote for the best video. The top video will be scooping the star prize, including a Panasonic 50” 3D TV worth £2499.99, a Blu-Ray player worth £449.99 and a Monster HDMI cable worth £79.99.
There are also three runners-up prizes of Freeview HD Panasonic 32” LCD TVs, worth £700 each. Voters will also be entered into a draw to win one of ten Panasonic FS11 digital cameras worth £159.99 each.
Whether it’s an imitation of Peter Crouch’s robot dance in 2006, an interpretation of Robbie Keane-style athletics or simply someone’s own unique reactions to a brilliant goal, the activity is set to increase interactivity with Comet’s online audience, while boosting traffic to the Comet site and visibility of its World Cup TV product packages and deals.
A second Panasonic 3DTV prize package will also be available to those playing Comet’s ‘Tweety Uppy’ contest taking place on Twitter, launching in mid May, which will see Comet’s followers re-tweet a ‘ball’ around the ‘Twitter-sphere’ to create the longest chain of tweets to win a place in the final draw. The player to start the longest chain will also win a Freeview HD 32” Panasonic LCD TV worth £700.
Neil Collins, Comet’s Online Marketing Manager, says “As the nation gears up for the World Cup, we wanted to give our customers a chance to celebrate football in a fun and interactive way, with the added incentive of the chance to win some great prizes.”
