Yee-haaaaw! Charles Phoenix announces his first-ever 3-D Retro Slide Show extravaganza. Charles Phoenix & The Third Dimension celebrates the story and glory of 3-D in 3-D at L.A.’s Downtown Independent theater, with 3 p.m. matinees on Sunday, May 9 and Sunday, May 16.
Pop culture expert and comedian Charles Phoenix will share spectacular 3-D images for the first time ever in this all new, two-act, 3-D Retro Slide Show performance.
3-D highlights include:
Stereoscopes views of the Victorian era
The classic “Viewmaster Family” at home in the 50s
SoCal’s theme parks and space age suburbia in Kodachrome
Behind the scenes of early sci-fi TV
Legendary world’s fairs
Cheesy Cheesecake and beefy beefcake
3-Dimensional melodies of Dominic, the “Worlds Greatest Roller Rink Organist”
Audiences are invited to come dressed in lipstick red and bright turquoise in honor of those old 3-D glasses (you know, the ones with one lens in each color).
Everyone will receive a FREE pair of 3-D glasses!
