CES 2010 TCL 3D TV with glasses

TCL 3D TV with glasses

These TVs use the Monitor as the glasses to give the illusion of 3D without the need for glasses. Pretty cool technology if you ask me!

This is not 3d. 3d would be CGI….

  9. connell256 on August 12th, 2010 3:53 am

@dothebedn theres anaglyph and stereoscopic. Both need glasses, one just needs red and blue type glasses and other needs shutter lenses. This 3d in the video is special because it consists of 103901238123 layers which gives it the depth without glasses. Easily made but the tvs have to be quite thick and expensive.

There are two kinds of 3D.
Depth 3D and popping out 3D.
This is depth 3D, to have popping out 3D you need glasses.

I just bought a Sony Bravia 120hz 40″ for $500.00 and will save up for this instead of rushing out and buying a glasses required 3dtv. :)

  24. knightinmiami on August 12th, 2010 12:15 pm

when is this coming out? this will prob be more appealing to consumers than the current 3dtvs which require glasses. I was about to get a 3dtv but after finding out about this tv that doesnt require glasses i might wait for this to come out. The dude in the video seems to be impressed with it. Can anyone that has seen both give their input and compare them?

  25. phyerboss on August 12th, 2010 1:00 pm

this might be good as i myself and others I know dont like wearign the glasses as they start getting uncomfortable. Plus they kinda strain my eyes.

So, I’ll be looking to nab 1 of these!
