“JANE” is a ripple from the gigantic splash of “Avatar”. While the rest of Hollywood is figuring out the next frontier for 3D content, a veteran crew of film professionals is providing it.

“JANE”, a sexy, action-packed, noir thriller that will literally grab you, shake you up and catapult you to a new era in digital filmmaking,” says Craig Ross Jr., the award-winning producer-director and creator of the long form content.

“JANE” –a female assassin who must confront her own demons and decide whether the life she has chosen is the right path for her – is an action-based project, made specifically for digital broadband and 3D-accepted mediums (think HBO and Blu- Ray). It comes at the perfect time, when supply struggles to meet the exploding demand for new content. 3D televisions are already here, and more 3D movies and 3D networks are quickly approaching.

Pioneer Filmmaker and actor Bill Duke is a 30 year veteran of Hollywood in both film and television. His work frequently dwells within the action/crime drama genre with such hits as DEEP COVER, A RAGE IN HARLEM, and HOODLUM. “Craig and I have been trying to find a way to work together for a while now,” says Duke, who is an executive producer on the project. “We both have a love for this genre, so JANE just seemed like a great way to finally make that happen.”

The world Ross has created with “JANE” blends classic noir with today’s comic book style films. The feel of the film is stark with a lumbering pace, while the action is overt and compelling. Ross shot the 4 min and 36 second visual pitch presentation on the Red camera and is currently in talks with a major studio to produce the project.

Ross has directed episodes of “Prison Break,” “Bones”, “Cold Case” and “Numbers”; his 2001 feature film “Blue Hill Avenue” won top awards at the Urbanworld and Acapulco Black Film Festivals. He and his production team – producer Cheryl Bedford and director of photography Carl Bartels — have worked together for 15 years.

“There’s a paradigm shift happening in Hollywood,” says Duke. “Digital is the new frontier for monetizing scripted projects. The industry just needs that one breakout hit that capitalizes on the full impact of what is possible.”

With Craig Ross Jr.’s talent, insight and knowledge of 3D technology, this female assassin, “JANE,” just may drive 3D movies and entertainment into a new direction.
