“This TV is awesome. You don’t have to be blown away by the 3D feature when the 2D looks this good. It’s so clear with near perfect color that the 2D looks almost 3D. I ran a video test of the calibration of it and it didn’t need any adjustment. This was a first for me. No red push. The only thing I can find fault with is only one pair of 3D glasses comes with it. Also, if you want to hang it on an already purchased wall mount it does not come with the screws that fit the four holes in the back. Other than that, WOW!” By Robert J. Nolan

3D Computer Animation in Music Video for ‘Squealorama’ Song by The G-Man

August 29, 2010

(PRWEB) July 13, 2005

In a new music video for The G-Man’s ‘Squealorama’ song, the visual artist known as VJ Sound Brew uses computers and lasers in a live performance to create imagery that appears to be 3D.

“The illusion of 3D is outstanding and the bright colors are amazingly intense, especially in the second half of the video,” states Brian Forest, VP of G-Man Music & Radical Radio, Scott G’s production company.

‘Squealorama’ is one of 6 trance songs on The G-Man’s SONIC TONIC album on Delvian Records distributed via iTunes, Amazon, and retail chains with promotion by Gate Media Group.

“I love the feel of 3D in this video,” G-Man says, “and it’s great you don’t need special glasses to see this spaceship ride through galaxies no one has ever seen before.”

‘Squealorama’ is provoking protests because “the pauses at the end of the song allow dancers in clubs to stop in position while pressing their bodies close to their partners. So this video is going to spread the controversy further,” Forest pointed out.

The “Squealorama” 3D video may be viewed (in Windows Media Player or Real Video format) at:

IBC 2009: First, fully interactive 3D Digital Signage Platform

August 25, 2010

3DZignage Flow Diagram

Nijmegen, The Netherlands (PRWEB) August 5, 2009

Zero Creative announces the launch of the worlds’ first real-time Digital Signage platform entirely based on a 3D engine. This platform is especially designed to maximize implementation on our autostereoscopic 3D Displays. There are also several extra modules available such as gesture controlled interaction. This combination of technologies is unique and therefore a world premier.

3DZignage is developed using 3D (game) engine technology, making all content native 3D. This was done in order to make a flawless combination with the autostereoscopic xyZ 3D Displays. xyZ 3D Displays are able to show real 3D without any need for special 3D-glasses. This generates an enormous impact on people passing by. This is of course the crux of the whole concept.

The new platform changes the rules of Digital Signage, transforming it from a passive to a very (inter)active viewer experience. In doing so, it opens up the possibility of two-way communication: allow customers to really interact with the display. Improve the focus of digital marketing efforts and improve the return on investment likewise. Special modules, like Gesture Control Interactivity, offer viewers an intuitive way of controlling the platform. Besides, technologies like this make it possible to communicate ‘through’ the shopping window, opening a wide scale of new possibilities.

“Whether you already know Digital Signage or not, just skip versions 1.0 and 2.0 and go straight ahead to what we call ‘Digital Signage 3.0′ or, to go short, 3DZignage,” says Jean-Pierre van Maasakker, CEO of Zero Creative.

3DZignage is planned to be officially launched during the upcoming IBC 2009 event (11-15 September) in the dedicated Digital Signage Zone (Booth DS6).

Zero Creative is specialized in 3D experiences and creates interactive real-time 3D presentations. Besides innovative content, the media company also offers her unique autostereoscopic xyZ 3D Displays, based on lenticular technology. These LCD displays deliver a very bright and clear 3D effect, without the need of special 3D glasses.

PCG Brings the 3D Experience to the Home and Office

August 24, 2010

Tampa, FL (PRWEB) August 2, 2010

Performance Computer Group of Tampa Bay is proudly displaying the absolute latest and greatest in computer technology – 3D displays. That’s right. As 3D movies are quickly becoming mainstream, NVIDIA has jumped on the bandwagon by offering the GeForce® GTX 480. This high powered graphic generating monster is capable of powering three displays for a truly immersive 3D experience.

Of course, 3D glasses and a compatible display are also required. Not to worry, PCG has put together the complete package into one surprisingly affordable bundle. Seeing is believing. Right now the only local place to reach out and touch one of these systems is at the South Dale Mabry store. Consumers are invited to stop by and give it a try.

What exactly is a 3D HDTV and what will it offer me?

August 24, 2010

Question by Jason G: What exactly is a 3D HDTV and what will it offer me?
I’ve been hearing a lot about this 3D HDTV and I’m very interested. But unfortunately I live in South Africa and we don’t really get the best information on these types of things here.

When will it be released in SA? Will I need glasses? How much will it cost? What will it allow me to do with my PS3?

I have a lot more questions, but any info you can give me would be much appreciated.

Best answer:

Answer by kg7or
I don’t have release dates or cost info re SA, but very briefly, 3D gives a sense of depth to a scene, as if you were alongside the camera while the action is being filmed. It’s done by capturing separate images for each eye. The two images are isolated by means of special electronic glasses as you watch the scene on the 3D TV.

It can only be done with a very few sets currently marketed by Samsung and Panasonic, and you need the special glasses that come with them. And it only works on programming that is originated in that technology.

Pepsi Commercial on xyZ 3D Displays in Supermarkets

August 22, 2010

xyZ 3D Display Example

(PRWEB) July 1, 2009

Nijmegen, The Netherlands, July 1, 2009 — Within the next months multiple xyZ 3D Displays will be rotating through a large number of supermarkets in The Netherlands, showing a unique 3D commercial of the “Pepsi Foot Volley” campaign.

On request of Vrumona (the Dutch producer of Pepsi a.o.), Zero Creative has converted the existing “Foot Volley” commercial into a 3D version. This 3D commercial will generate additional attention for the famous cola brand. Using the latest 3D technology, various objects literally jump out of the screen, towards the shopping audience. This remarkable effect is a first class attention driver, certainly because the 3D image is perfectly visible without the need for 3D-glasses.

It is to be expected that more and more marketing campaigns and Digital Signage initiatives will take advantage of the power that autostereoscopic xyZ 3D Displays provide. “3D is a very hot subject in the world of new media and everyone wants to do ‘something’ with it. This project confirms that our client, Vrumona, is a leader in marketing innovation that already deploys new marketing tools that other companies haven’t even discovered.”, said Jean-Pierre van Maasakker, CEO of Zero Creative.

Vrumona is a full subsidiary of Heineken and one of the biggest producers of sodas, juices and waters in the Netherlands. The company produces brands such as Pepsi, 7UP, Rivella and many others.
